A 7 days and 5 nights itinerant horseback trail in the lakes region : from brooks to rivers, from lakes to waterfalls : Ain, the Lake Vouglans, Lakes Etival, cascades of the Herisson....then run-up to the High-Jura where alternate coombs flowered and crests wooded of coniferous tree.

Day 1 : Le Frasnois - Doucier 24 km Via the valley and the waterfalls of the Hérisson, the lakes of Chambly and Val, and the forest of Uxelles.
24 kilometers, start altitude : 790 m, arrival altitude : 495 m.

Day 2 : Doucier - St Lothain, 32 Km, via the coomb of Ain, the Ladoye creeks.

Day 3 : Saint-Lothain - Lavigny, 28 km, via the Revermont castles :Fronteany, La Sauge, andthe vineyards of "côtes du Jura", the medieval village of Chateau-Chalon on its rocky spur.


Beaume-les-Messieurs

 

Day 4 : Lavigny - Boissia, 30km, via Beaume-les-Messieurs abbey, and the Beauregard Castle.


Day 5 : Boissia - Saint-Maurice, 31km, via Clairvaux and Etival lakes, the Franée creeks.

Etival

Day 6 : Saint-Maurice - Lac des rouges truites, 33km, via the Granvaux coombs and the Abbaye lake.

Day 7 : Lac des rouges truites - Le Frasnois, 27km, via Narlay and "A la dame" lakes, the Saine rocky valley.
